Write Up:
With the extended summer into fall season, inspired by the GMS climb on Razoredge in August to climb the Triple Divide Peak that day, but time would not allow as darkness was upon us. Therefore, I scheduled a climb to do Triple Divide Peak and Norris for October 1. It was weather pending as the day drew near. Summer like weather was promising, with a week to go, a low-pressure system from the NW was pressing on us to rid us of our Indian summer. So I moved the day to Friday 30 September for the climb, probably the last summer like day we will see for a while. Three GMS members on the list all agreed and we made the change to have the weather. What a beautiful day to the Triple Divide Pass to the summit of Triple Divide Peak and Norris Mountain with autumn color all about us. Total distance 19.7 miles. Total elevation gain of 7923 feet. Climbers: Kim Davis, Greg Kushnak, and David Schuler.
