Glacier View Mountain with no views.

The snow conditions were great for snow shoes once we were half way up. Below that we only had a couple inches so just hiked. We had to contend with a lot of recent downfall across the trail.

Forecast was calling for 16 degrees, snow and high winds gusting to 29. When I left Kalispell, we had no snow at all. But around Columbia Falls it started coming down hard and it was that way most of the way up the North Fork, but it stopped short of Glacier View. When I arrived it was 12 degrees with clear blue sky and sunshine. We initially had great views of Rainbow and Vaught glinting in the sun but that only lasted for a couple hours. By the time we reached the top it was completely socked in so we had no views.

We were back to the parking area by 2pm for a short tail gate. Everyone said they had a great time.
