Write Up:
Ski toured at off the Marion Dickey ridge with James Hutvat, Brian Kennedy, Frank Wesolovski, Paul Cogswell and Denise Grabowski. Took two runs down to the Lake and then exited out Dickey creek. Just over 5,000' total. Skiing was excellent on both sides of the ridge. Did find instability at the 5,000' to 5,500' elevation on the north side. Slabs were releasing on steep roll overs, approximately 12" crowns, but did not run very far. Suspect this was on a buried surface hoar layer. Still pretty brushy below 5,500' but negotiable. Temperatures were mild, high humidity, snowing heavily at times. Great to be out with the GMS'ers on Frank's birthday.
