We found a good campsite along the trail just about even with the top of Roger's Lake. With heavy fresh snow and no visibility we decided to save the summit attempt for Sunday. With decent conditions Sunday morning we found a reasonable and conservative approach just a few yards up the trail. We had good skiing from about 4700' to the summit and some views, mostly on 25 degree slopes. It was a long day to climb the mountain and ski out over Howe ridge, but it turned out to be a nice safe trip when the avalanche danger was considerable and could have could have gone towards high.
