Divide Mountain Jim Boyer, Caroline Clemans and Kevin Clairmont We arrived at the base of Divide Mountain with clouds spewing from the St. Mary Valley out on to the plains. There were only 3 of us and Kevin had arrived before us and was on his way. As we joined him in the rocks the clouds began to move in and hover along the ragged east edge to the top of the mountain. The higher we got the more the clouds enveloped our little party. We summated and lingered for 30-40 minutes waiting for a photo opportunity. Had two young men arrive and then descend – concessionaire employees. A quiet trip and missed the bad weather that arrived later in the day. Dave Shuler remarked that on his way back from Pollack/Bishop’s Cap the lightening was drilling the summit of Divide! Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
