After an easy crossing of the Middle Fork, we located the Boundry Trail on the ridge just above the river. This took us to the junction with the Harrison Lake Trail. This junction is the site of the old cabin, outbuildings and rusting farm equipment from the area's pre-Park days. We followed this good trail past the Harrison Lake Campground and the Patrol Cabin to the head of the lake. The weather was cloudy/smokey so our view up the valley was limited. Looks like a good place to camp and fish. Nice beach at the head of the lake. Surprisingly, no bears sighted. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
