Write Up:
Eight GMS members hit the trail to Preston Park by 8 am. With a little consultation between the coordinators, the "right" gully was soon identified (hint-- several of them 'go').. and the group reached the summit in 4.5 hrs, after some careful climbing through the cliffs to avoid the constant danger of rock-fall. A sow grizzly with three cubs were observed playing in the snow below the summit. Great views of Cracker Lake and the surrounding peaks were enjoyed, before beginning the long descent, returning to the cars at 4:30 pm.
