Write Up:
Coordinator: Patrick Blake John Ellis, Pete Pace, Dell Meuchel and Patrick Blake met at 8:00 at the trailhead. The day could not have been more beautiful, not the faintest threat of rain. We hiked up Trail No. 165 to Headquarters Pass, dropped down a few hundred yards to the west of the pass and went up to the saddle just west of the peak. At that point we donned our helmets and scrambled up the peak. We could have spent hours on the summit, but after a long lunch we headed down the scree to the basin northeast of the summit and rejoined the trail. We were back at the cars by about 4:00. A fantastic day!
