Coordinator: Jer Lundgren This season’s Vertical Tune-up found eleven folks taking their chances with the weather forecast and finding they made the right call. The forecast was threatening enough that a few people decided not to make the drive to Stone Hill. Those that did were rewarded with a great day of climbing. We went to an area we had not visited with the GMS group before, Moriah’s Ledge. It is a beautiful area just a short hike below the road; ledges and cliffs with a great view of Lake Koocanusa. The climbing offered something for everyone, with a nice range of ratings and challenges. GMS members included Rod Graham, Jim Foster, John Barnes, Don Arthur, Dennis Bonawitz, Carly Putman, Jesse Manning, Tim Anderson, Alice Ford, Jer Lundgren, and guest Jimmy Foster. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
