Submitted by Steve Berg -- Our hike up to Scalplock Lookout went as planned on a beautiful day. We were accompanied by Seasonal Ranger Crystal Muzik who is stationed at the Walton Ranger Station. We covered the 4.6 mile ascent in 2.5 hours, consumed our lunches surrounded by full views all around, and enjoyed a few snacks in the parking lot after a fast descent testing our knees to the limit. A good day preparing for the off-trail challenges coming up this summer. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
