Our plan had been to hike to Firebrand Pass and then go up the northeast slope to the summit, but due to snow on the route we decided to take the southeast slope to the summit ridge. On the way up we gained the summit ridge via the cliff-less eastern ridge. Coming home we came straight down the southeastern slope though a small cliff band. This more direct route was easy and provided access to some beautiful wildflower gardens. Sheep accompanied us most of the way down.
