Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day for our climb. We started at 7:30Am and finished at 9:30Pm. A quick hike up to Upper Two Medicine campground followed by a long wade along Upper Two Medicine Lake. Changing back to hiking boots we climb the scree to the snowfield below the "ramp" thru the lower cliffs. We start the major climb up the ridge of Long Fellow and after a number of class four cliffs arrive the the Summit around 2:30. The decent over the snowfield requires a belay set up by Jer Lundgren as the snow had started to firm up as the Sun went down. A challenging climb with Ken McDermott, James Hulvat, Sue Shannon, Paul Cogswell, Jeremy Rossman, Dennis Bonawitz Jer Lundgren, Alice Ford and Bill Haring Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
