The Grey Wolf climbing list slowly dwindled from the low 20’s to 5 on summit day. The small group moved swiftly up the trail to the Riddell Lake basin. The remaining climb was then off trail but in the open country of the southern Mission Mountain wilderness. There are two short sections of exposure when climbing the south eastern ridge, but we negotiated these without any problems. Skies were overcast with smoke and thunderstorms were in the forecast. We were able to complete the climb in less than 10 hours without any weather problems.
