Aug. 17 2013 Jim Boyer ,Kevin Clairmont , Jason Wilkes ,Doug Thorsen , David Schuler and Jason Glenn Six GMS members started from Lunch Creek trail head with the intentions of climbing Pollock and the Bishops Cap With a start time 8:15 AM and a finish at 3:00 PM. 3,965' of elevation gain and 6.5 miles round trip. It was cool and breezy start with a couple of Big Horn sheep coaxing us across the Going-To-The-Sun Highway and up into the first stretch of our journey; the saddle between Pollock and Piegan. Most everyone added a layer of clothing there because of the bite of the wind. Everyone summited Pollock through the great cleft, and after a short break and a few photos off Pollock - to the Bishops Cap. It was a real treat for all of the members and it being a first for the summit of the two peaks for a few members. Back to the parking lot at Lunch Creek for a tail gate treats and refeshments. Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com.
