GMS week Wednesday found six climbers ready to tackle a potential 19 plus mile trek involving nearly 4000 feet. Dean Stensland, Dennis Eaves, Dell Meuchel, John Reynolds, Jane Holland and Patrick Blake joined forces to attempt McClintock and Morgan. The trip of the Dry Fork was uneventful and soon we were at Pitamakan Pass. The trip leader assured the participants water would be available by Old Man Lake-WRONG. On the pass route snow was found and water bottles filled. The group summited McClintock then turned their attention to Morgan. Sore feet from a long week kept Jane and Patrick from the summit of Morgan. We all reunited at Dawson Pass and were treated to beverages at the trail head. A long beautiful set of climbs on a hot day. Dell Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Tim Anderson at twamontana@gmail.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you. |
