On a cool crisp September morn we marched up Two Medicine Pass Trail, had a look around from the top of Chief Lodgepole Peak. This included splendid views of Vigil Peak, Mt. St. Nicholas and the Park Creek valley. A short while later we trekked to the area just below the summit of Painted Tepee, near the "balanced rock", where we had lunch. Everybody got very close to the very peak and 5 of us (Jim Boyer, Steve Patitsas, David Schuler, Doug Thorsen, and Jason Wilkes) journeyed across the bridge to the actual summit. On the way down, one member of the group, Doug Thorsen, showed off his climbing skills and managed to climb to the top of the "balanced rock". All in all a great trip.
