Write Up:
Ten GMS mountaineers convened at Logan Pass Friday morning. We followed the Highline in the cool shadow of the Garden Wall to the saddle east of Haystack Butte. We then scrambled the West Face route to the summit of Mount Gould. We arrived in the early afternoon. Everyone visited the eastern promontory to admire the Swiftcurrent Valley. After an extended lunch, we descended the same route and returned to Logan Pass. On the return, we absorbed the Sun’s rays. Flathead cherries provided by Paul and Sue were our reward. We were Paul Cogswell, Sue Shannon, David King, Rick Murphy, April Seubert, Stacy Endebrock, David Endebrock, Kim Davis, Nathan Carlsen, and Bill Krause.
