Flinsch Peak and Rising Wolf Mountain - August 2, 2009 Coordinator: Bill Haring After a 7:30 a.m. start from the Two Medicine Campground, we had a wonderful, warm day to hike up to Dawson Pass. Frank, Heather and Alex Wesolovski added Mount Helen with a quick sprint! Our climb up to Flinsch was improved by a family of bighorn sheep and some mountain goats. After a short break on Flinsch, we descended to the long ridge to Rising Wolf. We had beautiful views along the two-hour traverse. A late lunch on top of Rising Wolf followed by a little nap for some of us. On the descent with a partial scree run we took the second drainage down to Two Medicine Lake. We enjoyed a tailgate party to celebrate a great day. Flinsch and Rising Wolf climbers were: Alex, Heather and Frank Wesolovski, Tim Horan, Allen Remley and Bill Haring.
